Certain groups of students need to register for courses by way of a free registration.

This may apply to the following groups:

• Erasmus students
• Foreign language assistants
• Students of partner universities
• PhD students

In order to find out if this applies to you, open the My Degree Programme application. If a curriculum structure is displayed in the tile menu or in the curriculum tree navigation, it is not possible to apply for courses outside the module structure of your degree programme. You must register for courses using the My Degree Programme application. Please refer to the chapter "The Allocation of Courses" for detailed instructions.

If no curriculum structure is displayed, follow the following instructions for a free registration via the Courses application.

Please note: “Free registration” refers to a course registration via the offering organisation (in contrast to the registration via the curriculum structure). For the majority of short-term students, registration via the curriculum strcuture in My Degree Programme is the norm.
