My Degree Programme - Mobile Devices
1. In the application menu on your Home Screen, tap on My Degree Programme.
2. The view My Degree Programme opens and displays the last selected part of your degree programme.
Please note: Depending on your mobile device, only part of the curriculum structure is displayed. Swipe right or left, or up and down to see columns and rows not shown in the mobile view. We recommend using landscape format to view the tree structure.
Tap on the Bar Menu in the top left corner next to the KLIPS 2.0 logo to view the other parts of your degree programme.
3. The operations menu of My Degree Programme opens. If necessary, swipe up and tap on the button Show My Degree Programmes.
4. A table displays your (complete) degree programme.
- If you are studying one subject, this subject will be shown.
- If you are studying more than one subject, you will see your complete degree programme on the first row, followed by the individual parts of your degree programme (see screenshot below). Tapping on your complete degree programme shows e.g. the module for your final thesis as well as courses offered within the framework of the Studium Integrale.
Please note: If you are an MA student, your bachelor studies will also be displayed in this table if you completed your undergraduate studies at the University of Cologne. In this case, follow the columns Name of Degree Programme, Status (registered or closed) and Subject-Specific Semester.
5. To view the structure of the individual parts of your degree programme's curriculum, tap either on the subject in the column Name of Degree Programme or on the corresponding Curriculum Number in the column Curriculum.

6. The curriculum will then be shown in the form of a tree structure (curriculum tree) in the view My Degree Programme.
In the tree structure, you will see the modules of your degree programme as specified by the subject-specific annotations to your exam regulations (SPO-version). By tapping on the "+/-"-Symbols, you can expand or collapse the curriculum structure. Swipe left or right, or up and down to view columns and rows not displayed in the mobile view.
Please note:
In some cases, ...
the notification "Calculation of results not completed yet" appears above your curriculum structure. Normally, the calculation of your results should be completed overnight.
individual “module and exam nodes” will not be shown. In this case, the missing nodes are possibly inactive. More information about “inactive nodes” can be found in the following chapter.

The curriculum structure in the view My Degree Programme lists the individual modules of your degree programme as specified by the subject-specific annotations to your exam regulations. Each element of the curriculum structure is called a node. The following table explains the different node types.

Occasionally, exam nodes are no longer valid or will not be valid until a later date in the future. Such a node is called an inactive node in KLIPS 2.0. Inactive nodes make sure, that students are e.g. still able to register for exams in the current semester in modules that will be discontinued and can also register for new modules in the coming semester during the application phases. In addition, if the required number of elective modules or credits has been achieved in one elective field, the other modules in this field change their status to inactive nodes.
The curriculum structure in My Degree Programme hides inactive nodes. The following steps explain how to show them.
1. In order to show inactive nodes tap on the Bar Menu in the top left corner next to the KLIPS 2.0 logo.
2. The operations menu of My Degree Programme opens. If necessary swipe up and tap the button Display.
3. A drop down menu opens. Choose Show Inact. Nodes.
4. The view refreshes. All inactive nodes are now visible when you expand the nodes of the curriculum structure. They are marked by a grey flag icon. A long tap on the “i” icon next to the node name opens a tool tip, explaining why a specific node is inactive.
5. To hide inactive nodes, tap Hide Inact. Nodes in the drop down menu that opens when you tap Display. The curriculum structure updates again and shows only active nodes.
